This blog is meant to share my rural practicum experience with who ever is interested in reading about it.
The article "Alaska's rural schools fight extinction" in the New York Times last November (http://www.nytimes.com/2009/11/26/us/26alaska.html) helped me gain an insight into the difficulties rural Alaskan schools face.
I am now really looking forward to my rural practicum in Buckland AK. I am sure I will learn many new things about life as a teacher in a rural community.
